How to inspire community change? Youth Research Center researchers train young leaders of tomorrow
Youth Research Centre researchers joined a final conference of the Third University Mission’s Youth Votes Plus programme and carried out a series of workshops with secondary school students. Youth Votes Plus programme strives to develop and enhance leadership, civic and social competencies among secondary school youth in Poland. The workshops run by Dr Justyna Sarnowska and Dr Dominika Blachnicka-Ciacek from SWPS University Youth Centre aimed at supporting students in equipping them in practical tools to inspire and execute social change on community level. Young participants learned how to assess challenges and attitudes of local community, how to undertake research on focal community issues, how to map stakeholder groups and how design inclusive strategies of change. Prof. Izabela Grabowska met with the teachers to talk about life-long learning idea.
